Good Romantic songs are known to bring out the romantic person in you. But there are only few songs that can even melt cold hearts. And “My Heart will go on” by Celine Dion is definitely one of those songs.

Why this song?

I normally start my article with an introduction about the song I post. But this song by Celine Dion needs no introduction. Like its movie Titanic, “My Heart will go on” is by far the most incredible, emotional, sad, yet very beautiful song I’ve ever heard. And, I am sure, every single person who has ever been in love will agree with me.

I firmly believe that even the haters of this song, love it very much. After all, a song like this comes once in a century, and a voice like “Celine Dion” comes once in a lifetime. The following are the reasons why this song is so special:

  • The music of this song is so heartfelt and pure that you can’t help but be swept away by it. It is one of the best works of James Horner. Words are not enough to describe its beauty. The music of this song is like an ocean – vast and magical. Just listen to the sound of flute, at the beginning of this song, and you will know what I mean.
  • The vocals by Celine Dion are simply magical. They blend so well with the music and, thus, are more like an extension of the music itself. It is one of Celine Dion’s best work till date. No one, but her, would have done justice to this beautiful song.
  • And finally the movie “Titanic”, and the chemistry between its lead pair – Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet, is the reason why this song is so much loved by people all around the world. This song was meant to be in this movie. After all, no other movie, than Titanic, deserves this song.

Final words on “My Heart will go on”

My heart will go on is not just one of the best, but the most popular, romantic songs of the century. It has everything a romantic song needs – emotions, melody and most importantly “a beautiful soul”. And, that is why, it won nearly all the awards in the year 1997 (Academy, Golden Globe, Japanese Gold Disc etc).
